Vitengeni Community Medical Clinic
In the rural communities surrounding Vitengeni in Kilifi County, Kenya, access to basic medical care is extremely limited. Many families must travel long distances—often on foot or by costly motorcycle transport—to reach the nearest clinic. For mothers with sick children, pregnant women, and elderly residents, this distance can mean delayed treatment or no treatment at all.
The Japhet Family Foundation is raising funds to build a community medical clinic in Vitengeni, bringing essential healthcare closer to home for this underserved region.
The clinic will provide basic medical care for common illnesses, maternal and prenatal services, childhood vaccinations, treatment for infections and minor injuries, and referrals to regional hospitals when more advanced care is needed. For many families, it will be the first reliable healthcare resource within reach of their village.
Access to nearby care means healthier children, safer pregnancies, earlier treatment of illness, and less financial strain on families who currently must travel far for medical attention.
With your support, this clinic will become a lasting community resource—helping improve health, stability, and opportunity for families across the Vitengeni area.

From Farm to Community
The Nyamvula Farm Project is more than an agricultural initiative—it is a catalyst for community development in Chumani, a rural township in Kenya’s Kilifi County where stable employment opportunities are limited. By combining commercial chilli production with local hiring, the farm is creating reliable jobs, supporting women’s economic participation, and introducing improved agricultural practices that can strengthen food security for families across the region.
The project is also laying the foundation for long-term opportunity through farmer training and the development of an outgrower program that will allow local farmers to grow chillies and access reliable markets for their crops. As the farm expands, it will continue to generate employment, increase household income, and help families keep their children in school while improving access to food and healthcare.
With the support of donors and partners, the Nyamvula Farm Project can grow its impact—creating sustainable livelihoods, empowering women, and building a stronger agricultural economy for the Chumani community. A gift to the Japhet Family Foundation helps expand this work and ensures that the benefits of the farm reach even more families in coastal Kenya.

Vitengeni Well Project
In January 2023, we drilled a well in Vitengeni, a small rural community in Kilifi County, near Kenya's coast. This well now provides families with fresh water, eliminating the need for long, exhausting journeys to access clean water. It also supports small-scale farming through reliable irrigation.
Partnerships
At the Japhet Family Foundation, we believe that meaningful, lasting change happens when we work together. That’s why our approach combines the strength of our own initiatives with the deep-rooted expertise of trusted partners already making a difference in Kenya.
We focus on projects that directly address the needs of young people—whether through scholarships, school infrastructure, or community development. At the same time, we seek to collaborate with established NGOs, grassroots organizations, and local leaders who share our mission and values. These partnerships will allow us to reach more communities, respond to local priorities, and build on existing momentum.
By blending direct action with strategic collaboration, we’re able to expand access to education, create economic opportunities, and foster hope for a brighter future. Every project we support—whether led by us or by our partners—is guided by a shared vision: a Kenya where every young person has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
